Captain America:The Winter Soldier is on track to break the US  box office record for April releases.

The Marvel Studios sequel stars Chris Evans in the title role, with Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L Jackson, Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan in the supporting cast.

The film earned $10.2 million on its Thursday night (April 3) previews, and an additional $37 million on its official Friday (April 4) release, according to early estimates from

Collider. With a projected $95 million in weekend ticket sales, this means that the comic book movie has earned the highest domestic opening day in April at the US box office.

The previous holder of the April record was the late Paul Walker and Vin Diesel's Fast Five, which earned $34.3 million on its opening day in 2011.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier will receive a television tie-in during upcoming episodes of Marvel's Agents of SHIELD.

再加上已提前售出的价值9500万的周末电影票销售额，这意味着《美国队长2：冬日战士》仅凭首日票房就成功登顶四月北美票房榜。

该记录之前的保持者为《速度与激情5》（Fast Five），本片2011年以3430万票房创下纪录。

《美国队长2：冬日战士》上映后，同属漫威世界的美剧《神盾局特工》（Marvel's Agents of SHIELD）也将播出“美队联动集”。
